Marquee Equity

Finance fellowship/internship widely reported for asking interns' LinkedIn passwords and 2FA codes. Advertised IB work often becomes unpaid marketing access to your account.

What happened

Marquee Equity advertises investment banking internships and fellowships with stipends around ₹800–₹1,000/month. After selection, participants report the role is rebranded as a 'fellowship' and they are asked to hand over LinkedIn email, password, and two-factor authentication codes for 'marketing' or outreach. Multiple students say their accounts were locked after logins from unknown devices. When they refused further access, some were terminated and never paid. Others report bank details requested during onboarding alongside credential harvesting.

Why it seemed suspicious

Requesting social-media login credentials violates LinkedIn policy and is a classic account-takeover pattern. Promised IB modeling work vs. reality of LinkedIn access, heavy email pressure for passwords, and numerous parallel reports from finance students.
